Who we are
ConsentScan is operated by Cycubix Ltd, a company registered in Ireland. Our registered address is Dublin, Ireland. You can reach us at hello@consentscan.io.
What data we collect
Scan requests. When you run a free scan we log the domain you entered, the scan result, and your IP address. We use this to enforce rate limits, detect abuse, and improve scan accuracy. We do not link scan results to any personal identity unless you provide one.
Early-access form. If you submit your name and email via the early-access or blog notification form, that information is stored in our CRM (ActiveCampaign) and used solely to contact you about ConsentScan Pro and product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site — pages visited, session duration, and referral source. GA4 sets cookies (including _ga and _ga_*) and sends anonymised usage data to Google. No personally identifiable information is sent. You can opt out via Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Cookies we set
We set a single strictly necessary session cookie to maintain state during a scan. This cookie is deleted when you close your browser and does not track you across sites.
Google Analytics 4 sets _ga and _ga_* cookies (2-year expiry) to distinguish users and sessions for aggregate analytics purposes. These are analytics cookies and require consent under ePrivacy rules. If you sign up for early access, our CRM may also set a cookie to track email engagement.
Legal basis for processing
We process scan data on the basis of legitimate interests (operating and improving the service). We process email addresses on the basis of consent — you voluntarily submit your email and can withdraw consent at any time. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Data retention
Scan logs are retained for 90 days for debugging and rate-limit purposes, then deleted automatically. Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, and erase personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@consentscan.io. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page will reflect any changes. Material changes will be communicated to subscribers by email.
